Has anyone had a false awkening that left you confused about what was real and what wasn't?
Recently I awoke from a lucid nightmare. I sat up in bed and gasped. I rubbed my eyes, got up and went into the bathroom. I splashed some cold water on my face. I turned on the light and looked in the mirror. . . and there was no reflection!!!
It freaked me out and then I was spinning very fast at my ceiling and then slammed back into my body. I sat up in bed and gasped. I rubbed my eyes, got up and went into the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and turned on the light and yet again, there was no reflection! This time I became very lucid and dreamed other dreams.
Yes, I had one where I was driving a truck and everything started melting and dripping and I thought this dream is getting really weird so I woke up and I thought "I guess that was an acid flashback. I never really believed in acid flashbacks -- wait a minute maybe someone gave me acid at that last truck stop" (in real life I've never drove a truck in my life) Then I woke up again and started writing down the dream when I happened to think "maybe it's not a dream or an acid trip or a flashback - maybe I'm going crazy and this is how it feels to go crazy." It was weird it took awhile to figure out I was now really awake.
